What is collected

When you open the site, the host processes technical access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) as far as operation and security require it. If you use the contact form, you submit your name, email address and the text you entered. These details reach me by email and are used only to answer your request.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets exactly one cookie: the chosen language. It contains no identifier. For anonymous measurement of load times and page views I use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Neither sets cookies, and according to the provider neither can be traced to individual visitors.

Self-check

A schedule fetches this site itself at regular intervals and stores response time and status code. No visitor data is processed in the process.

Service providers

Vercel Inc. (USA) for hosting, delivery and anonymous measurement, privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. Resend Inc. (USA) for delivering form messages, privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy. Upstash Inc. (USA) for storing self-check results, without personal data. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU standard contractual clauses.

Legal bases

Processing of technical access data and anonymous measurement rest on my legitimate interest in secure and working operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Processing of contact requests serves the initiation of a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can complain to a supervisory authority; for me that is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. I answer such requests by email.

Retention

Contact requests stay in my mailbox as long as handling them requires, then they are deleted. The host deletes access data according to its own schedule.
